Harvesting resources and turning them into building materials is a crucial aspect of Castle Story.

In order to begin gathering resources, you must build stockpiles. These are necessary in order to stash harvested resources. Bricktrons will always seek stockpiles to deposit collected resources and will first look for stockpiles to obtain materials needed to build blueprints.

In order to build stockpiles, you will need wood which you can obtain via the harvest task.

First, create a Harvest Task. Click on the New Task button ( star ) in the taskbar, at the bottom left of your screen and click the Harvest Task button.

Now, left-click near some trees to place down the harvest task and drag the yellow circle to increase or reduce the amount of trees to chop down.

Select one or more Bricktrons by clicking on one, by dragging a selection box around them or by holding shift and left clicking several Bricktrons.

You must now assign the selected Bricktrons to the Harvest Task. Right-click the Harvest Task icon above the task or right-click the Harvest Task section in the taskbar, at the bottom of your screen.

Your Bricktrons will now begin chopping down the trees! Every tree will yield 3 logs.

While your Bricktrons are chopping wood, you can create the blueprints for the stockpile. Blueprints are how you plan constructions for your Bricktrons to build.

Begin by creating a Construction Task the same way you created the Harvest Task; hold right-click with nothing selected, then drag and release over the Construction Task, or click on the "New Task" star at the bottom left of your screen, then select the Construction Task.

After selecting the Construction Task, you will be in Edit Mode. You must now select the constructions you'd like your Bricktrons to build.

To make a blueprint of a stockpile, first click the Structures button, then click the Stockpile button.

Now, left-click where you want your stockpile to be built. Instead of left-clicking, you can drag to place several stockpile blueprints.

Hint: you can also select different blueprints in the radial menu, by holding right-click while in Edit Mode.

Now, exit Edit Mode by click on the X at the top of the screen.

Select some Bricktrons and assign them to the stockpiles' construction task. They will begin hauling logs to the stockpiles' blueprints and building them.

Congratulations! You now have stockpiles!
